Any organization is only as good as its members and the tone set by organizers. Pirats came to my attention while practicing and exhibiting art in the virtual world community of Second Life. There were many communities at that time but by far the most positive and inclusive was Pirats.
Natalie and Jean-Marc understand the artist and treat artists with respect and tireless support. Pirats was known to be extremely well managed and their shows enjoyable and well attended, a model for arts organizations in any world, virtual or physical.

I first discovered Pirats in Second Life in about 2009, a gallery who were showing work by artists from all over Europe. They were a great encouragement to me for exhibiting my art in a virtual world. After one particular installation that I created at Pirats, called ‘White Dance’,
I was invited to make a video of my work, which was then shown at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai doing part of the history of machinima, it was the 1st one that machinimas had been presented as art. This video can still be seen on youtube, featuring many of the avatars who visited the Pirats gallery.

I can only say that Pirats is the best art community in SL and RL. They are inclusive and supporting of new artists all over the world, bringing them together from all backgrounds and offering a nourishing, creative community for them to flourish.
Personally they have helped me many times, guiding me, pushing me to better my self and made me feel part of the "family".
I wish them best of luck in there endeavors and upcoming projects.

Over the years the Pirats Art Network provided me with many opportunities to show my art.
They helped and supported me in many ways to grow as an artist.

Working with Pirats was always a joy.
Pirats opened possibilities for many artists to show their work and stimulated the creative proces. I am Looking forward to Pirats RL!

A virtual person allows to exist different in a different reality. It is about how identity can be played with and how that can make you aware of how you construct yourself.

My experience with the Pirates group was positive in every way. I found Nathalie and Jean Marc both knowledgable and supportive of my artistic goals and vision. They offered excellent guidance and support while also allowing me the freedom to express myself as I wanted. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Having been an artist most of my life, beginning with a studio in New York and later as a professor of art and design at a private college upstate, I’ve had quite a rewarding career.
But it wasn’t until I Joined the Pirats Arts Network in 2009 in the virtual world of Second Life that I found the dynamic community of artists that I had been looking for.
Under the leadership of Nathalie and Jean-Marc I was able to mount quite a number of large scale exhibits of my digital paintings, gaining legions of fans and collectors, even reaching a point where my avatar, Chrome Underwood, began having his own shows in the real world. None of this would have been possible without the Pirats Art Network.

The Pirats Art Network has been functioning internationally within the platform: Second Life supporting art and connecting artists since 2009; by offering nurturing virtual environments artists/musicians have been intelligently encouraged by the curators to digitally explore, express and develop within imaginative venues in the company of like-minded individuals. In this virtual world I have been proud to have been invited on numerous occasions to exhibit virtually and interact though the development of audio-visual installation work, which has ultimately evolved in to real-world exhibitions and research into creativity which has been disseminated internationally.
I have been very honoured to have been associated with this fine organisation and this new venture: art 1.0 I absolutely support and wish them every success.

The "Pirats Art Network" is an association totally dedicated to digital art in a digital environment called "SecondLife" and I had the honor and pleasure of being part of it for as long as this association was active.
The great strength and dedication of the two curators Nathalie Gobé and Jean-Marc Larroque was fundamental to ensure that this association became an important fulcrum in contemporary digital art. The best artists who have created and developed digital art in the digital environment have passed through this association.
I hope this association will once again shine in the firmament because they have been the best ever in all respects and many artists have to say thanks to them too if their name has had prestige in the exposition field.

Una bomba Modernista Wi Pirats, tutti all'arrembaggio.

I loved all the Pirats exhibits, Each month was more exciting than the last. I received incredible exposure for my paintings and loved the variety of work which was displayed.
